Icenogle, Blanche L.

Blanche L. Icenogle,87, of Monmouth died at 4:10 A.M. Thursday, March 29, 2007 at St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.

She was born January 17, 1920 in Kirkwood, Illinois the daughter of Chalmer and Rachel (Monticue) Lovdahl.  She was raised and educated in Monmouth, attending Monmouth High School.

Blanche married Harold W. Icenogle in Monmouth on June 10, 1948 and he died July 14, 1968.

She was a homemaker and worked at Monmouth Hospital as a cook for 5 years.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, crocheting, crossword puzzles, plastic canvas work and playing cards.

She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Monmouth.  The Monmouth Odd Fellows Lodge #61 and the Monmouth Rebekah Lodge #22 for over 50 years.

Surviving are her 4 daughters, Pat (William ) Clark of Phoenix, AZ, Nancy (Kenneth) Reynolds of Oquawka, Donna (James) Brinton of Monmouth and April Icenogle of Monmouth; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 4 brothers, Creighton (Barbara) Lovdahl of Monmouth, Martin (Lorraine) Lovdahl of Oquawka, Cecil (Kay) Lovdahl of Monmouth, James (Susie) Lovdahl of Monmouth; 2 sisters, Elizabeth (Paul) Bethel of Monmouth and Becky (Henry) Hartman of Kansas; 2 sister in laws, Judy Lovdahl of Monmouth and Bonnie Lovdahl of Mississippi; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Ted Lovdahl and John Lovdahl; 1 sister, Bessie Snyder.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, April 2, 2007 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth with Rev. Keith Killinger of the First Lutheran Church officiating.  Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery.  Friends may call Sunday, April 1, 2007 after Noon at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth where her family will be present from 4:00-6:00 P.M. with a Rebekah service beginning at 4:00 P.M.  Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association or the First Lutheran Church of Monmouth.  Online condolences may left at hooverhall.com.
