Gillette, Larry E.

Larry  E. “Little Larry” Gillette, 26, of Kirkwood, IL, died 2:15 A.M., July 3, 2007 at his home.

He was born February 11, 1981 in Monmouth, IL, the son of Larry W. and Elizabeth (Spence) Gillette.  He was reared and educated in Little York and Kirkwood.

He had worked at Keister’s Tire Center, Monmouth for three years as a Service Tech.  He enjoyed his daughter’s love.  He enjoyed fishing and cars, especially his “74 Monte Carlo.  He was outgoing and loved talking to people and helping others.

His family includes his daughter, Paige Nicole Gillette of Kirkwood, Fiancé, Julie K. Vanskike of Kirkwood, parents, Larry and Elizabeth “Betsy” Gillette of Kirkwood, brother, Anthony (Jamee) Gillette of Little York, two sisters, Gena (Frank) Cole of Kirkwood and Anita (Ernie) Hall of Kirkwood along with nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Maternal and Paternal grandparents.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 7, 2007 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth with Rev. James Epperson of the First Christian Church.  Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery, Kirkwood.  Friends may call on Saturday at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel where visitation with his family will be from noon until the time of service..  A memorial funds has been established to be designated later.
