Miller, Helen Geneva "Babe".

Helen Geneva “Babe” Miller,80, of North Henderson, Illinois died at  7:36 P.M. Friday, January 18, 2008 at the Rosewood Care Center, Galesburg.

She was born January 15, 1928 in Knox County, Illinois the daughter of Edward and Hattie (Nelson) Humes.  She was reared and educated in  Knox County, Illinois.    

Babe married George M. Miller in North Henderson, IL on June 5, 1955 and he died May17, 2007.

She worked at Swanson’s Grocery in North Henderson for many years and retired from Cash’s Locker in Alexis.  She enjoyed bowling with her husband on several leagues.

She was a member of the North Henderson Methodist Church and the North Henderson Floral Club.

Surviving are nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, 3 sisters and 1 brother.

Funeral services will be 11A.M. Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at the North Henderson United Methodist Church with Pastor Lee Savage officiating.  Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.  Friends may call at the North Henderson Methodist Church where her family will be present 1 hour prior to the services.  In Lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the North Henderson United Methodist Church or the North Henderson-Alexis Ambulance Fund.  Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Alexis is in charge of the arrangements
