Wilson, Bonnie

Bonnie Wilson, 82, 0f Monmouth, IL died at 10:50 P.M. Thursday, September 18, 2008 at Courtyard Estates in Monmouth.

She was born October 15, 1925 in Monmouth, IL. the daughter of Amzie Ray and Maude Lee (Kishline) Stromire.  She was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from Monmouth High School in 1943.

Bonnie married Earl T. Wilson north of Monmouth on April 25, 1945 and he died December 31, 2005.

Bonnie and Earl farmed, first near Alexis and later near Bald Bluff in Henderson County, IL.  She also worked at Anchor Hardware in Oquawka, then Torley’s and most recently at Kellogg Printing in Monmouth before retiring in 1990 and moving to Monmouth.  She loved to bake, embroider and quilting.

She was a member of the Heritage United Presbyterian Church in Monmouth and its Women’s Circle.  She was also a member of the Warren County Republican Women. 

Surviving are her 3 sons, Jack Wilson of LaSalle-Peru, IL, Patrick Wilson of Monmouth and Bill Wilson of Las Vegas, NV; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; one daughter in law, Gloria Wilson of Galva, IL; one sister, Phyllis McIntyre of Monmouth, IL; 2 nieces, Judy (Kenny) Boyer and Nancy (Bill) Clayton both of Monmouth.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son, Donald Wilson;

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 22, 2008 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth.  Burial will be in Rozetta Cemetery.  Friends may call after Noon on  Sunday, September 21, 2008 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth where her family will be present from 2:00-4:00 PM.  Memorials may be given to the Heritage United Presbyterian Church.Memorials may be given to the Kirkwood Westminster Church.
