Livingston, Martha J.

Martha J. Livingston, 86, of Galesburg died at 11:10 A.M. Friday, December 12, 2008 at Cottage Hospital, Galesburg.

She was born December 23, 1921 in Galesburg, IL. the daughter of Clarence and Zepha (Sallee) Adcock.  She was raised and educated in rural Galesburg.

Martha married A. Frank Livingston on May 14, 1943 at her parents rural Galesburg home and he died April 14, 2003.

Martha was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, cooking and her family.  She was a wonderful mother to her family.

She was a member of the 1st Christian Church of Galesburg and the Good Neighbors Club.

Surviving family include 3 daughters, Joyce (Jack) Robinson of Sparta, WI, Janice Lucas of Warrenton, MO and Jean (David) Gardner of Gerlaw; 9 grandchildren, 4 great granddaughters; 1 sister, Joan Malcolm of Galesburg; 1 brother, Donald Adcock of Abingdon;       several nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 15, 2008 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth with Rev. Tim Johnson of the Coldbrook Christian Church officiating.  Burial will be in Mosher Cemetery.  Friends may call Monday morning at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth where her family will be present from 10:00-11:00 A.M.  Memorials may be given to the 1St Christian Church of Galesburg or the Coldbrook Christian Church.
