Ruby L. Inman, 64, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Monmouth, IL died at 1:53 P.M. Saturday, December 27, 2008 at St. Luke’s Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, IA.

She was born June 24, 1944 in Monmouth the daughter of Everett and Lucille (Wells) Taylor.  She was raised and educated in Monmouth.

Ruby married Robert L. Inman in Monmouth on September 23, 1961 and he survives.

She was a homemaker who loved her children and grandchildren.   She enjoyed cooking and baking.  Ruby was a collector of bird statues, especially Cardinals, and she had a large dog statue collection.  She loved country music.  Rudy recently started attending the Miles Stone Adult Health Center.  She enjoyed meeting new people and participating in actives at the center.

Survivors include her husband; 3 sons, William E. (Deneil) Inman of Peoria, IL, Robert E. Inman of Cedar Rapids, IA and Lee W. Inman of Marion, IA; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Everett L. (Alice) Taylor of TN., Clifford E. (Beverly) Taylor of Galesburg, IL., Ronnie D. (Sue) Taylor of Monmouth, IL; 1 sister, Pat Strong of Loda, IL; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth with Rev. James Epperson officiating.  Burial will be in Monmouth Cemetery.  Friends may call Friday, January 2, 2009 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth where her family will be present from 6:00-8:00 P.M.  A memorial fund has been established to be designated later.
