Albert, Marshall W.

Marshall W. Albert, 57, of Monmouth, died 3:50 P.M. Monday, January 26, 2009 at OSF Holy Family Medical Center, Monmouth. 

He was born October 27, 1951 in Monmouth the son of Cecil M. and Elizabeth J. (Ludington) Albert.  He was raised and educated in Monmouth.

Marshall married Kathleen Hope Lundeen in Monmouth on October 18, 1969.

Marshall served with the United State Army from 1968-1970, stationed in Korea.

Marshall worked at Wells Pet Food, was a truck driver, refuse collector and a shade tree mechanic.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with his grandchildren, playing in area billiard and bowling leagues, watching John Wayne and Clint Eastwood movies and wrestling.

He was a member of the Monmouth VFW Post #2301.

Survivors include his two sons, Michael (Tracy) Albert of LA. And Marshall Albert II of Roseville; 6 grandchildren, Dacia Albert of LA, Michael Peterson of Monmouth, Kendra Albert, Kerri Albert, Dalton Albert and Khloie Albert all of Burlington, IA; great granddaughter, Margaret “Emmy” Peterson of Monmouth; his father, Cecil Albert of Monmouth 6 sisters, Linda  Barker, Debbie (Kenny Fye)Teel, Diane (Randy) Brown and Judy Richardson all of Monmouth, Barbara (Terry) Johnson of Mo, Patricia (Don) Kindhart of Good Hope; 6 brothers, Terry Albert of Rock Island, Dwayne (Angie) Albert of MD, Tom (Chris) Albert of LA,  John (Sherry) Albert of MO, Jim (Donna) Albert and Steve Albert both of Monmouth: several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunt, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother and sister in law, Jill Albert.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January31, 2009 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth with Rev. Kenneth Klein officiating.  Burial with military honors will be in Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery.  Friends may call Friday, January 30, 2009 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth where his family will be present from 6:00-8:00 P.M.  A memorial fund has been established to be designated later
