Fowler, Jimmie.

Jimmie Fowler, 50, of Alexis, IL, died 5:00 P.M. Sunday, February 1, 2009 at his home.

He was born November 17, 1958 in Moline, IL., the son of Robert J. and Phyllis L. (Taylor) Fowler.  He was educated in New Windsor and North Henderson grade schools and attended Alwood High School.

Jimmie married Christine Cash Olson in Aledo, IL on November 5, 2001 and she survives.

Jimmie was a self employed truck driver, driving with Simkins Trucking.  He loved his family, friends, trucking and his Harley motorcycle.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Paige Fowler of Alexis and Jennifer (Tyson) Metler of Summerville, SC.; one sister, Nancy (Gary) Monier of Walnut; three brothers, Terry Fowler of Phoenix, AZ, Bobby Fowler of Knoxville and Ron (Meg) Fowler of Putnam, IL; several nieces, nephews and two special friends, his dogs, Hannah and Zoe..

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at the Alexis United Presbyterian Church with Pastor Phil Cooper officiating.  Burial will be in Alexis Cemetery. Friends may call after 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Alexis where his family will be present from 5:00-7:00 P.M.  Memorials may be given to the Alexis United Presbyterian Church.  Online condolences may be left at hooverhall.com
