Scott, Lorena E.

Lorena E. Scott, 89, of Oquawka, died 8:25 A.M. Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Oak Lane Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Stronghurst.

She was born January 4, 1920 in Crowley, LA. the daughter of Albert L. and Ada L. (Shepard) Morgan.  She was raised and educated in Orange, TX.

Lorena married E.W. “Scotty” Scott in Good Hope, IL on June 26, 1970 and he died October 23, 1980.

Lorena retired from the Burlington Medical Center.  She loved animals, especially cats, like to read, work puzzles and attend church.

She was a member of the Oquawka United Methodist Church.

Surviving are several cousins; special friends, Shirley Martinez and Gene Stotts both Oquawka.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters and one step-son..

Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 18, 2009  in the Oquawka Cemetery, Oquawka, IL . Friends may call from 12:00-4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 18, 2009 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth.  Memorials may be given to Henderson County Humane Society.
