Hottle, Vivian M .

Vivian M. Hottle, 83, of Monmouth died at 3:20 P.M. Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at Courtyard Estates in Monmouth.

She was born November 3, 1925 in Little York, IL. the daughter of Lloyd and Margaret (Carson) Shughart.  She was raised and educated in Little York, graduating from Little York High School in 1943.

Vivian married Bufford W. Hottle Jr. in Little York on June 16, 1946.            

Vivian was a member of the Faith United Presbyterian Church, Lincoln Parents Association and the Warren County Republican Women.

She was a homemaker and volunteered at Monmouth Hospital for many years.  She loved attending the many school and sporting events of her grandchildren

Survivors include her three children; Geneen C. (David) Gillen, Bufford W. (Tammi) Hottle III and Jane M. Hottle all of Monmouth; six grandchildren, Brandon Gillen, Tyler Gillen, Amanda Gillen, Hallie Hottle, Hannah Hottle and Dalton Hottle; one sister, Fayeanne (Leslie) Horrell of Kankakee, IL; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Betty A.  Smith.

Funeral services will be 2:30 P.M. Saturday, July 25, 2009 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth with Rev. William Myers of Faith United Presbyterian Church officiating.  Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery.  Friends may call Saturday at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel where her family will be present from 12:30 until the time of the services.  Memorials may be given to the Jane Hottle Special Needs Trust.
