Perrin, Raymond E.

Raymond E. Perrin, 70, of Galesburg, formerly of Monmouth, died 12:31 P.M. Thursday, September 24, 2009 at St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.

He was born March 22, 1939 at Little York, IL, the son of Kenneth and Dorothy (Lohse) Perrin.
He was raised and educated in Little York and graduated from Little York High School in 1957.

Raymond married Verna Jean Bent in Little York on March 1, 1990 and she survives.

He had worked at DeKalb, Ford Motor garage, Agar, Wilson Foods and Maytag.  He enjoyed traveling, camping and collecting miniature horses.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

His family includes his wife, Jean of Galesburg, two sisters, Marilyn Perrin and Barbara (Don) Owens both of Monmouth, three brothers, Donald (Karen) Perrin of Monmouth, Bob Perrin of Little York and Jerry (Sandy) Perrin of Eldrige, Iowa, 3 step-sons, several step-grandchildren and one uncle, Wilbur Perrin of Monmouth along with nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services and burial will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 28, 2009 in Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Jon Sims of First United Methodist Church.  Friends may call on Monday morning, September 28 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth where his family will be present one hour prior to the service to receive friends. Memorials may be left for the Rosewood Care Center, Galesburg.
