Painter, Ruthie M.

Ruthie M. Painter, 63, of Monmouth, died peacefully at 12:30 A.M. Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at her home, with her family at her side.

She was born June 5, 1946 at Monmouth, IL, the daughter of Elmer and Elizabeth (Hanley) Ricketts.  She was raised and educated in Monmouth.

She first married Clifford Hendrickson.  She later married Russell Painter in Monmouth and he preceded her in death in October 1992.

She was a homemaker.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, bingo, playing cards, mushrooming and baking.

She was of Christian faith.

Her family includes, one daughter, Brenda (Roger) Lefler of Onieda, three sons, Brian Hendrickson and Chris Painter both of Monmouth and George (Shelley) Wallace, Jr. of Abingdon, 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandson, two sisters, Betty Snitker of Viola and Bonnie Krohn of Missouri, two brothers, Delbert (Donna) Skiver of Monmouth and Morris Ricketts along with nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Steve Ricketts of Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Tony Hendrickson, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth with Deacon James Haneghan.  Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park.  Friends may call on Saturday morning at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel where her family will receive friends one hour   prior to the services.  Memorials may be left for the American Cancer Society.
