Thomas H. Brownlee

Thomas H. Brownlee, 82, of Little York, died 4:55 P.M. Friday, January 22, 2010 at his home.


He was born July 15, 1927, in Mercer County, IL, the son of William Craig and Pheobe Mae (Friel) Brownlee.  He was raised and educated Mercer County.

Tom married Shirley Lewis in Warren County on May 29, 1947 and she preceded him in death on October 23, 2006.

He farmed his entire life in the Little York area.  He served on the Board of the Cedar Creek Cemetery.

His family includes, three daughters, Sharon (Marty) Daily, Deb Hart and Pam Harris and two sons, Tom (Carol) Brownlee and Bob (Shanda) Brownlee all of Little York, 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, three brother and three sisters.

Cremation has been accorded. A memorial service will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth with Rev. Ken Muck of the Countryside Bible Church.  Burial of ashes will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery.  Friends may call on Thursday morning at Hoover-Hall Memorial, Monmouth where his family will receive friends one hour prior to the services.  Memorials may be left to be designated later.  Online condolences may be left at hooverhall.com
