Paul F. Hickerson

Paul F. Hickerson, 68, of Alexis, died 2:50 A.M. Sunday, January 24, 2010 at St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg, IL.

He was born August 24, 1941 at Monmouth, IL, the son of Floyd F and Margaret B. (Plummer) Hickerson.  He was raised and educated in Little York, IL.

Paul served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963.

Paul married Susie Jebb on December 7, 1960 at the Little York and she survives.

He was a farm hand for local farmers.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

His family includes his wife, Susie Hickerson of Monmouth, six children, Howard (Deb) Hickerson, Deanna (Roger) Reno, Tami (Randy) Olson, Paula Hickerson, Karen (David) Thomas and David Hickerson, 10 grandchildren, 6 brothers and sisters, Janice Smith, Jean Gibertson, Diana Kelly, Mary (John) Winfrey, Gary Hickerson and Mike (Kris) Hickerson along with nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Roger Hickerson.

Cremation has been accorded with private family interment of ashes in Little York Cemetery.  A public Memorial Service will be held in the fall of 2010.  A memorial fund has been established to be designated later and may be left at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth who is in charge of arrangements.
