Nancy R. Bailey

Nancy Ruth Bailey, 59, of Moline formerly of Alexis died at 10:25 A.M. Wed. June 15, 2011 at the Heritage 53 Health Care Center, Moline, IL

She was born October 17, 1951 in Monmouth, the daughter of Howard and Mary (Laughead) Bailey.

She was reared and educated in Warren County.  Nancy was one of the first students to attend Warren Achievement School in Monmouth.  In 1979 at the age of 28, she became a resident of Heritage Foundation in Moline, a part of the ARC of Rock Island where she remained until her death.  She was happy and fun loving, especially when her brothers, Glenn and Roger provided her with a cold Pepsi.  In spite of her handicap, she enjoyed traveling with her family and during her younger years she spent time in Wisconsin, Florida, Texas and California.

Nancy was of Presbyterian Faith.

Surviving are her 3 brothers, Chauncey (Bev) Bailey of Santa Barbara, CA, Glenn (Kay) Bailey of Monmouth and Roger Bailey of Galesburg; along with one uncle, several nieces, nephews and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Francis Allen Bailey, Larry Ray Bailey and Milo Bruce Bailey.

Graveside services and committal will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 18, 2011 in Alexis Cemetery with Rev. James Epperson of the First Christian Church.  Friends may call after 10:00 A.M. on Saturday morning until the time of service at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Alexis.  Memorials may be left to the ARC of Rock Island for Heritage Fifty-Three Living Center, Moline.
